Medication Assistant

Assists with medications and maintains compliance with all state and federal regulations and the standards of HRA. Promotes and protects the rights to safe, prompt, and confidential treatment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent with state specific training required for the position
• Minimum of one (1) year experience
• Experience in a long-care community and/or geriatric nursing preferred
• Experience in emergency care and first-aid preferred
• Able to communicate effectively with all levels of management, associates, residents, family members, and outside contacts
• Clerical and typing skills including typing, data entry, filing, etc. required
• Experience with Microsoft Office and Outlook software preferred
• Knowledge and understanding of medical terminology preferred
• Able to make independent decisions
