Medication Assistant

Assists with medications and maintains compliance with state and federal regulations, promotes resident safety and confidentiality, and provides respectful behavior in all interactions.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• State specific training for the position
• Valid Continuing Education credits as required by the state
• Minimum of one (1) year experience
• Experience in a long-care community and/or geriatric nursing preferred
• Experience in emergency care and first-aid preferred
• Good working knowledge of Medication Observation Record (MOR)
• Effective communication skills
• Clerical and typing skills
• Experience with Microsoft Office and Outlook software preferred
• Knowledge and understanding of medical terminology preferred
