Child and Family Educator

The Child and Family Educator conducts weekly home visits to provide health, nutrition, and child development education to pregnant women, children, and their families. The educator is part of an interdisciplinary team and is responsible for implementing an individualized curriculum, documenting communication with parents, and providing guidance and assistance in planning and participating in parent/child group socializations.

Requirements

• Child Development Associate (CDA) credential for Infant and Toddler Caregivers or an equivalent credential
• Associate Degree in child development, early childhood education or social services related field
• Experience providing direct service to low-income families with multiple biopsychosocial risks
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work alone and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Knowledge and experience in child development and early childhood education
