The Laredo Morning Times is seeking a passionate and skilled News Reporter to deliver timely and in-depth news coverage of Laredo and the surrounding areas. The ideal candidate is curious, organized, and determined with strong observational and investigative skills, and recognizes itself as a leading Texas news organization.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; college degree in journalism or related field preferred.
• At least one year of reporting experience preferred, though recent graduates with strong experience are encouraged.
• Strong writing, interviewing, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Familiarity with AP style.
