Job Description
The Outreach Advocate functions as part of a two-person Response Team (RT) consisting of an Outreach Supervisor and an Outreach Advocate. The RTs will rapidly respond to diverted incidents from the City, including welfare checks, loitering or trespassing, and other issues related to unhoused individuals. The goal is to de-escalate and stabilize incidents, connect individuals to services and resources, and create positive outcomes through trauma-informed rapport building and case management.
Requirements
- At least one year of job-related experience conducting street outreach to PEH
- Ability to work well with diverse staff and clientele
- PREFERRED: Residence within the Pacific CIRCLE Zone
- Valid California Driver's License
- Ability to pass background check
