Financial Controller

Role Overview

As UK Financial Controller, you'll enable confident, data-led decision-making by delivering clear, timely and reliable financial insight that supports growth, efficiency and long-term value. You'll lead a high-performing reporting finance function and maintain strong governance, helping the business invest wisely, meet its regulatory obligations and build trust with senior leaders and external stakeholders.

What You Will Do

Oversee the full UK reporting finance function, including direct line management of a small team of accountants. Deliver timely and accurate monthly financial reporting, and lead the annual statutory audit and the preparation of statutory financial statements to sign off.

Requirements

• Qualified with at least 5 years' post qualified experience
• Credible, confident and articulate, with excellent communication and presentation skills
• Solid experience in coaching, developing and motivating staff
• Ability to clearly communicate technically complex financial issues, combined with effective influencing skills at all levels
• Ability to multi-task and stay organised in a dynamic work environment, with excellent attention to detail
• Bright, highly self-motivated, and driven to lead by example as an enthusiastic team player
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and an appetite to embrace AI tools
• Strong understanding of IFRS and UKGAAP, ideally SOX
• Strong controls ethic
• Experience working on Microsoft Dynamics is preferable
