Backend Software Engineer (AI Systems & Automation)

We're looking for an AI-enabled, product-minded Backend Software Engineer to strengthen the technical foundation of a global, digital-first higher education institution. This role requires integrating AI into production systems and thinking in terms of product architecture, scalability, and long-term resilience.

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience in a product-focused startup environment
• Backend-leaning engineering profile
• Demonstrated experience integrating AI into production systems and workflows
• Practical experience using Claude Code or comparable AI coding copilots in real development environments
• Strong system design fundamentals including databases, service architectures, and distributed systems
