Research Assistant, Department of Physics

The Hong Kong University of Biology (HKBU) is seeking a Research Assistant for their Department of Physics. The role involves cultivating and maintaining brain organoids, conducting mouse models experiments, performing molecular and cellular techniques, data analysis, lab management, and collaboration with researchers. This position offers a fixed-term contract of 2 years.

Requirements

• Bachelors or Master’s degree in a related field (Neuroscience, Biology, Molecular Biology, etc.)
• Prior experience in wet lab settings with cell culture or animal models
• Familiarity with neuroscience research techniques (brain organoid culture, mouse handling, etc.)
• Proficiency in standard laboratory techniques and analytical tools
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Basic knowledge of data analysis tools (Excel, GraphPad Prism)
• English proficiency
