The position is located in Austin and requires a commitment to uncovering issues affecting the community.

Requirements

• Write quick-turn daily stories on high-impact news.
• Develop original enterprise and watchdog stories by cultivating expertise in local government and policy.
• Use the Texas Open Meetings Act, the Texas Public Information Act, and database reporting.
• Build a diverse network of sources.
• Employ multimedia storytelling.
• Maintain a driver’s license and auto insurance.
