
Job description
The Buyer/Inventory Planner provides competent, timely, and budgeted purchasing and managing of inventory levels to properly support business levels and budgets. This person uses communication and planning to provide cost-effective decisions to support the quoting process and our forecasted need for inventory.
Solicit quotes and information regarding needed components, equipment and services from reputable, qualified suppliers, monitor and maintain acceptable levels of inventory on purchased items, and maintain effective channels of communications with all of his or her suppliers.
Requires minimum supervision, except in areas of a unique aspect, and knowledge & expertise in metal cutting machine control system integration.
