Direct Support Professional (Support Coach) - Supported Living

Horizons is hiring Support Coaches (Direct Support Professionals – DSPs) to empower individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live, learn, work, and play with independence and purpose.

Requirements

• Support individuals with daily living tasks—such as meals, hygiene, and household routines—with respect and encouragement.
• Assist individuals in working toward personal goals identified in their Individual Service Plan (ISP).
• Administer medications according to physician’s orders and DDS guidelines.
• Respond with compassion and training in moments of challenge, ensuring emotional and physical safety.
• Communicate clearly, respectfully, and in ways that center the individual’s voice.
• Document your work thoughtfully and participate in staff development and training.
• Keep your manager informed of anything notable related to the individual’s well-being.
