Research Internship, African Affairs, Spring 2026

Hudson Institute seeks research interns to gain experience in researching great power competition in Africa, specifically Chinese development in the region. Interns will provide research and administrative support to the African Affairs team and have opportunities to attend public events and discuss issues with experts.

Requirements

• Recent graduates or current students in political science, international relations, economics, security studies, African affairs, or related fields
• Demonstrated interest in African affairs and the relationship between China and Africa
• Ability to work independently, manage time, and meet deadlines
• Detail-focused, reliable, professional, and strong research, writing, editing, and analytical skills
• Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications
