Job Description
Set up and operate CNC machines to manufacture parts to precise specifications. Interpret blueprints, process routers, and work instructions to determine machining requirements. Perform various other duties to support production goals.
Requirements
- Interpret blueprints, process routers, and work instructions
- Perform machine setups, including selection and installation of tooling, fixtures, and materials
- Make necessary offsets and tool changes during production
- Monitor machining operations and make real-time adjustments
- Conduct in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring tools
- Create and/or edit CNC programs
- Perform routine maintenance on machines
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, programmers, and quality control personnel
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Follow company policies, procedures, and work instructions
- Assist fellow machinists with troubleshooting and support as needed
