Job Description
Learn the basic skills to operate grinding machines, complete documentation, and assist in maintaining shop cleanliness and organization.
Requirements
- Load and unload parts in grinding machines as instructed
- Make basic tool selections according to knowledge of basic grinding procedures
- Position and secure work pieces on magnetic chuck, in holding fixture, or directly to machine table
- Make basic machine adjustments
- Utilize, maintain and calibrate measuring instruments
- Follow 8-Step Checklist and have Department Leader/Trainer check first piece
- Keep work area, department and shop cleaned and organized
- Participate in the development and maintenance of safe work procedures
