Senior Platform Engineer Kubernetes / OpenShift

As a Senior Platform Engineer Kubernetes / OpenShift, you will be the driving force behind the design, management, and further development of a container platform in a hybrid cloud environment. You will work on modernizing legacy applications to containers, guide DevOps teams in effectively using Kubernetes and OpenShift, and ensure that the platform remains performant, stable, and secure.

Requirements

• Higher education level with at least 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure.
• At least 3 years of proven experience with Kubernetes and/or Red Hat OpenShift in production environments.
• In-depth knowledge of Linux (preferably Red Hat Enterprise Linux), networking, and containerization (Docker).
• Experience with automation and scripting in Ansible, Bash, and Python.
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Nexus, SonarQube or similar).
• Understanding of Kubernetes Operators and how to apply and maintain them.
• Pré: Knowledge of GitOps (ArgoCD, Flux) and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform).
• Affinity with security/compliance requirements in the government or financial sector.
• Experience in large-scale, complex (government or bank) environments.
• Working according to Agile/Scrum/Kanban principles.
• Good command of Dutch and English (spoken and written) in the Netherlands.
