Job Description
The Principal Engineer is responsible for electrical/rf design and characterization of fiber optic sub-assemblies, working closely with internal and external suppliers to develop active components. The ideal candidate has a strong academic background in RF and Microwave engineering, with expertise in high-speed optoelectronic and RF components.
Requirements
- B.S. with 5 years of related experience, or M.S. with 2 years, or Ph.D.
- Strong academic background and knowledge of RF and Microwave engineering
- Expertise on high-speed optoelectronic and RF components
- Hands-on experience with various EM simulation modeling tools
- Strong laboratory measurement skills
- Strong collaborative and communications skills
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills
- Hands-on technical background in generating schematics, netlists and PCB layout
- Experience in advanced packaging of electrical and/or optical devices
