Job Description
ICMS is seeking a General Maintenance Worker to support U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) facilities in Ames, IA. This role involves performing preventive and corrective maintenance on utility plants, ensuring safe operations and equipment protection, and collaborating with staff. The position supports the central utility plant and biocontainment facilities and may require entry into BSL-3 laboratories.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- At least 5 years of experience in operations, maintenance, and repair of central utility plant systems and equipment
- Must possess or be eligible to obtain a LincPass (federal ID credential)
- Strong documentation and reporting skills
- Valid driver’s license and ability to operate contractor vehicles
