We are looking for a dedicated hard working Ortho Trauma, Specialty Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (APPs) to join the team.
Requirements
- Responding to full/modified trauma activations with known orthopedic injuries
- Perform comprehensive orthopedic assessments, including history, physical exams, and diagnostic interpretation.
- First-assist in the operating room and perform orthopedic procedures (e.g., reductions, traction pins, casting, splinting, bedside I&Ds when needed, and wound care).
- Document care in the EMR, complete inpatient discharges, and ensure appropriate follow-up.
- Participate in daily rounds, trauma meetings, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Educate patients, families, and support training of residents or students as needed.
- Maintain licensure, certifications, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
- Participate in fracture conferences, M&M presentations, journal clubs, and research sessions along residents and attendings
