We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to build complex intelligent reporting solutions using cutting-edge cloud technologies. The role involves refining requirements, building out views for reporting, identifying and driving automation of reporting solutions, and supporting in testing the outputs.
Requirements
- Educated to degree level or can demonstrate equivalent work experience
- Proficient experience in three or more of the following cloud technologies: Databricks Azure: Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Warehouse and Azure Data Factory or like cloud technologies: AWS or GCP
- Advanced Proficiency in Self-Service Visualisation BI Tools: Power BI or like technologies such as: Qlik, Tableau, Spotfire
- Working knowledge and practice of Python, SQL or R
- Data Modelling
- Experience in scripting ETL solutions using one of the following (Python, Java, PowerShell)
- CI/CD Pipeline Creation
- Understanding and practice of Agile Methodology / Jira / Confluence
- API Development / ETL
- Ability to translate numerical data into management information
- Experience of working within a high performing team within a fast-paced, target driven environment
- Ability to interpret and analyse business and technical reports in addition to writing and presenting information to senior stakeholders
- Demonstrates strong analytical abilities with a sound numerical background and proficient in business analysis
- Ability to identify and implement effective systems to monitor performance
- Team Communication, Ability to present complex ideas and concepts Stakeholder Management, Change Management, Ideation and Backlog Creation
