The Institute for the Redesign of Learning, founded in 1974 by Dr. Nancy J. Lavelle, offers a continuum of care for individuals with special needs through five programs including early childhood education, community outreach, mental health services, and transition support. With a focus on empowering students to take charge of their learning, the Institute serves over 3,700 children and clients annually in Los Angeles and San Gabriel Valley. Early Childhood Associate Teacher
6 Early Childhood Education units from an accredited college/university, ability to pass a job-related health screening, access to a mobile phone and basic internet
Teacher Aide - Westmoreland Academy
High school diploma, CPR/First Aid certification, and reliable transportation, phone, and internet access required
Special Education Teacher (FALL 2026)
Must hold a Bachelor’s degree & be eligible for a temporary special education permit. Auto insurance liability coverage, clear background check, and negative TB Test are also required
Mental Health Therapist (Field-based)
Master's degree in Marriage Family Therapy/Social Work or a related field, Licensed MFT/LCSW Associate or Trainee, Proficient in using modern office technology
Office & Billing Manager
Associate’s degree in Business, bilingual in English and Spanish, 1–3 years of management experience, tech-savvy, growth mindset, valid driver’s license, ability to pass background check
