Job Description
Second Assistant Engineer will supervise a watch and oversee the safe and reliable operation of propulsion machinery and their watch crew, including monitoring and responding to problems with engines and auxiliary equipment. The 2nd A/E will also be responsible for maintaining boiler water chemistry and enforcing company policies.
Requirements
- Valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC)
- Valid Merchant Mariners Credential issued by the U.S. Coast Guard with proper endorsements, including at least Third Assistant Engineer of steam vessels of unlimited horsepower
- Current US Coast Guard Medical Certificate
- Be legally eligible to be employed in the United States (proof of identity will be required upon employment)
