Role Overview

ERS is a leading underwriter of specialist motor insurance products. The Underwriter will support the Senior Underwriter in executing the underwriting strategy and developing the underwriting appetite. The role involves working closely with broker-partners and forming solid trading relationships to achieve financial plans.

What You Will Do

The Underwriter will develop technical knowledge of the product(s), understand underwriting strategy and risk appetites, and operate within these. They will also develop strong relationships with broker partners and be able to articulate mutually beneficial relationships.

The ideal candidate will have technical knowledge of classic, modified, imported, and motorhome insurance markets, as well as underwriting, risk selection, and pricing skills. They will also have good commercial awareness and interpersonal skills.
