Job Description
As a Senior Engineer Mechanisms, you will lead a team of engineers developing stage separation mechanisms, fairing separation mechanisms, hydraulic and pneumatic actuators, and umbilical systems for our Spectrum Launch Vehicle. You will own the outcomes of key mechanism design trades and development, and mentor other design engineers across the organization.
Requirements
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with direct reports and leaders
- Significant mechanical and integrated design experience
- Proven track record of organizing and completing collaborative projects effectively
- Advanced design, analysis, and manufacturing skills
- Experience with kinematic synthesis, pneumatic/hydraulic actuation, mechatronics, instrumentation, structures strength, stability, fatigue failure modes, and tribology
- Experience with manufacturing processes, project management, scheduling/planning, materials, and surface treatments
