Data Specialist

Role Overview

As a Data Specialist, you will manage end-to-end data operations, including data flows, ETL processes, and timely database production. The role involves maintaining documentation, monitoring issues, performing data checks and comparisons, and conducting QA on data feeds. Responsibilities also include managing Azure-based operations (ADF, Blob Storage), handling backups and housekeeping, and collaborating with the development team to meet and improve SLAs.

What You Will Do

Manage and optimize data across multiple databases. Perform advanced data manipulation using SQL and build dashboards in Power BI. Handle secure data transfers via networks and FTP tools. Ensure data accuracy through cleaning and validation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field
• 2+ years of experience in data modeling or a related role
• Strong understanding of data modeling (diagrams, normalization)
• Proficient in SQL across relational and non-relational databases
• Experience with data modeling tools (e.g., SQL DB, ERBuilder)
• Familiarity with data governance, data warehousing, and BI concepts
• Experience using Power BI/Tableau for data visualization
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
