The Jewish Community Center of Staten Island (JCC) is dedicated to fostering social, recreational, and educational activities for all community members, regardless of race or religion. Founded in 1929, the JCC has expanded its offerings over the decades to include fitness programs, preschools, summer camps, after-school programs, special needs services, and arts and culture initiatives. Assistant Teacher
High School Diploma, Level 1 Teacher Assistant Certificate, and 0-3 years of experience
Daycare Teacher Assistant
High School Diploma and Child Development Certification or equivalent experience. Additional requirements include fingerprint, NYS, and medical clearances
Special Education Teacher (First Foot Forward)
NY State Ed certification in Special Ed and Early Childhood, fingerprint clearance, and annual medical clearance
Music Teacher
Bachelor's Degree in Music or related field, 3+ years of teaching experience, strong work ethics, passion for music education, excellent communication skills
Special Education Teacher Assistant
High school diploma, teacher assistant certification, and experience in education or childcare are preferred
Lifeguard
Must be 17+ years old, have 6 months related work experience, and be available to work various shifts
Speech Therapist
New York State Education Department certification in required area: Speech Therapist - Speech Pathologist and/or Teacher of Speech and Hearing Handicapped
Program Coordinator-Hillel
Bachelor’s degree, strong organizational skills, and comfort with Jewish traditions
Summer Swim Club Coordinator
Experience in recreation, aquatics, or event coordination; strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Drop-In Volleyball Staff
High school degree, reliable and punctual, comfortable handling cash transactions
