Engineering Manager - Data Engineering

Role Overview

Lead and scale a high-impact data engineering function responsible for powering critical data infrastructure in a fast-growing, product-driven environment. Oversee the design and execution of scalable data platforms, pipelines, and analytics systems.

What You Will Do

Design and execute scalable data platforms, pipelines, and analytics systems. Lead a high-performing data engineering team, including hiring, onboarding, performance management, and career development.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, analytics engineering, or platform engineering roles.
• 2+ years of experience in engineering management or technical team leadership.
• Strong hands-on experience designing and building scalable data platforms and pipelines.
• Deep expertise in Google Cloud Platform services such as BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, and Cloud Composer/Airflow.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language (Python, Java, or Scala).
• Experience with ETL/ELT pipelines, data modeling, warehouse design, and workflow orchestration.
• Strong understanding of data quality, monitoring, lineage, governance, and production SLAs.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
