Principal DevOps Engineer

Role Overview

This is a senior technical leadership role focused on shaping and scaling a mission-critical cloud platform that supports millions of global users. You will define the long-term vision for cloud infrastructure, reliability, and developer experience across a highly distributed engineering organization.

What You Will Do

Define and drive the technical direction of cloud infrastructure and DevOps strategy, ensuring reliability, scalability, and operational maturity across engineering teams. Define the long-term cloud and infrastructure architecture strategy, including AWS platform evolution, scalability planning, and risk mitigation.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, or platform engineering with significant technical leadership impact
• Expert-level knowledge of AWS services, including compute, networking, storage, and security architecture
• Strong expertise in infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, including module design and platform-level governance
• Deep experience in reliability engineering, including SLO/SLI frameworks, observability systems, and incident lifecycle management
• Proven track record of designing and scaling CI/CD systems and DevOps practices across large engineering organizations
• Ability to define multi-year infrastructure roadmaps aligned with business and technical priorities
• Strong communication skills, with experience influencing senior stakeholders and executive leadership
• Experience mentoring and guiding senior/staff engineers in high-scale environments
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
