Job Description
Joby Aviation is seeking an expert Advanced TIG Welder for a limited 2-3 month contract engagement within their Hydrogen R&D Team. The role is critical to the development of experimental hydrogen propulsion systems, focusing on high-precision fabrication of specialized tubing, cryogenic components, and test fixtures.
Requirements
- 6+ years of professional TIG welding experience, specifically in high-stakes R&D (Aerospace, Motorsports, or High-Pressure Fluid Systems)
- Expert-level proficiency in TIG welding thin-wall tubing and various metals (Aluminum, Stainless, Chromoly, Titanium)
- Proven ability to produce clean, x-ray quality welds; experience with 1G through 6G positions and technical GD&T callouts
