
Job description
This position is responsible for the proper installation, operation, and maintenance of fire alarm systems. The role involves inspecting, testing, and performing system checks in accordance with fire code, identifying code and system deficiencies, and preparing accurate and timely inspection reports.
Install or upgrade fire alarms in commercial and residential buildings, test and repair alarm systems, perform inspections to ensure alarms are installed according to code, and respond to emergency service calls.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of fire safety principles, codes, and regulations, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills. The role requires flexibility with scheduling and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
