Dual Trade Fitter/Electrician

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly capable Dual Trade Fitter & Electrician or Industrial Electrician with strong mechanical aptitude to join our maintenance team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced industrial environments and enjoys troubleshooting and improving high-speed automated equipment.

What You Will Do

Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair both electrical and mechanical faults, perform preventative maintenance and equipment audits, and identify improvement opportunities through fault investigation and root cause analysis.

Requirements

• Unrestricted Victorian A-Grade Electrical Licence
• Strong electrical fault-finding capability, including contactors, relays, sensors, and field devices
• Experience programming and configuring VFDs / drives, scanners, electronic control modules, PLCs, HMIs, and industrial control systems
• Solid understanding of industrial controls (PLCs, VFDs, HMIs, instrumentation)
• Hands-on mechanical skills, including lubrication programs, belt tracking, replacing bearings, chains, belts, motors, and gearboxes
• Experience maintaining mechanical and pneumatic systems
• Strong commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proactive approach to maintenance challenges
• Continuous Improvement mindset
