Job Description
Our client is seeking an Executive Commercial Casualty Underwriter to join their team, focusing on underwriting primary casualty risks through wholesale agents and brokers. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the excess & surplus (E&S) market and excellent relationship-building skills.
Requirements
- 7 - 15+ years of underwriting experience in Primary Casualty, with a focus on working with wholesale agents and brokers
- Strong understanding of the E&S market and the unique needs of wholesale distribution channels
- Proven ability to negotiate and manage broker relationships
- Analytical mindset with experience in assessing risks, developing pricing strategies, and ensuring portfolio profitability
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (Risk Management, Business, etc.); CPCU, AU, or other insurance designations are preferred
Benefits
- $170,000 to $210,000+ annual base salary (depending on experience) plus 10 – 30% Target Bonus
