KPMG is looking for a Commercial Technology Specialist to join their team in Wellington. The successful candidate will support clients with reviewing and assessing technology needs, and driving sourcing, commissioning, commercial strategy, and contract excellence. The role involves working on complex projects, developing technology sourcing strategies, and leading end-to-end sourcing processes.
Requirements
- 4–10 years of relevant advisory experience in the commercial technology area or a related field, plus a tertiary qualification
- A fundamental understanding of technology solutions including hyperscale cloud, software-as-a-service and off-the-shelf software packages
- Demonstrated experience in one or more stages of the technology sourcing lifecycle, from sourcing Strategy through to commercial negotiation
- Experience with developing RFx processes, requirements definition, or contract design/review
- Understanding of Service Level Agreements (SLA) and hyperscale cloud, Software-as-a-Service and other modern licensing arrangements
- Total Cost of Ownership (or equivalent) models to understand lifetime expenditure
- Business Case development for technology initiatives
- Exposure to business development and advisory activities, with a focus on technology solutions
- Experience in staff supervision and team leadership
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
