Senior Software Engineer - C++ - Trading Technologies

Kraken is seeking a Senior Software Engineer - C++ to develop and maintain core framework and key software components for the Kraken trading engine. The successful candidate will design and implement low-latency, high-availability messaging solutions and build solutions that mitigate risk and implement security.

Requirements

• 5+ years experience working with modern C++
• Prior experience in at least one of the following using Linux — distributed and/or highly-concurrent systems; low-latency and/or high-volume transaction environments
• Deep understanding of low-latency systems fundamentals
• Experience with Aeron or comparable messaging transports
• Experience with UDP networking, multicast, and kernel-bypass techniques
• High level of proficiency in Python, Rust, and SQL
• BS in a technical or quantitative field
