Requirements
- Gain and maintain knowledge of products sold within the department
- Offer product samples to customers
- Recommend bakery items to customers
- Check product quality and ensure freshness
- Decorate cakes and pastries
- Label, stock, sign, and inventory department merchandise
- Report product ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager
- Maintain awareness of inventory/stocking conditions and report any discrepancies
- Adhere to all local, state and federal health and civil code regulations
- Reinforce safety programs and report any safety risks or issues
- Practice preventive maintenance by inspecting equipment and reporting any items in need of repair
