BAKERY/CAKE DECORATOR

Create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service and maintain a safe and clean environment. Assist the department manager in reaching sales and profit goals and monitor quality assurance standards.

Requirements

• Gain and maintain knowledge of products sold within the department
• Offer product samples to customers
• Recommend bakery items to customers
• Check product quality and ensure freshness
• Decorate cakes and pastries
• Label, stock, sign, and inventory department merchandise
• Report product ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager
• Maintain awareness of inventory/stocking conditions and report any discrepancies
• Adhere to all local, state and federal health and civil code regulations
• Reinforce safety programs and report any safety risks or issues
• Practice preventive maintenance by inspecting equipment and reporting any items in need of repair
