Requirements
- Cashier/Checker is responsible for being visible and actively greeting, engaging and assisting customers.
- Cashiers process customer transactions through the check lane quickly, accurately, and efficiently.
- Cashiers must understand and adhere to company policies, including limits on cash shortages and/or overages and work honestly and effectively to control loss.
- Cashiers must understand and adhere to guidelines on restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs)
- Cashiers must stay current with present, future, seasonal and special ads.
- Cashiers must adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines.
- Cashiers must create an environment that enables customers to feel welcome, important and appreciated.
- Cashiers must adhere to all local, state and federal laws, and company guidelines.
- Cashiers must be able to work cooperatively in high paced and sometimes stressful environment.
- Cashiers must be able to manage conflict in a reasonable, nonconfrontational and cooperative manner.
- Cashiers must be able to act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
- Cashiers must be able to follow directions and seek assistance when necessary to resolve customer and business issues.
- Cashiers must provide support and assistance through direct interaction with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
