Medication Technician - Evening Shift - Full Time

La Posada at Park Centre, Inc. is seeking a Full-Time Medication Technician for an evening shift. The role involves administering medications and treatments, performing caregiver duties, and providing training to new staff members.

Requirements

• Administers and/or assists with the self administration of routine and non-routine medications
• Completes simple treatments and reports resident vital signs
• Maintains accurate records of medications and treatments administered
• Records narcotics administered or received on the appropriate controlled drug count sheet
• Reports and records changes in resident conditions, incidents and accidents
• Communicates with pharmacy and nurse to ensure timely receipt of medications
• Properly stores medications and equipment and keeps the medication room clean and orderly
• Provides direct resident care while promoting resident dignity, independence and choice
• Assists with or performs resident ADL’s, takes vital signs and weights
• Greets residents, visitors and staff courteously and in a manner that respects dignity and confidentiality
• Follows and supports community fire safety and infection control practices
• Performs First Aid and initiates emergency response procedures
• Attends and participates in training, in-services and staff meetings
• Other duties as assigned
