Laboratory Specimen Processor

Role Overview

Join our team at Labcorp's facility in Brentwood, TN, as a Specimen Processor. Work a Tuesday-Saturday schedule, 3:00pm-11:30pm. Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing.

What You Will Do

Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing, unpack and route specimens, accurately identify and label specimens, pack and ship specimens, meet department activity and production goals.

Why It Might Be a Fit

We're looking for someone with a high school diploma or equivalent, 3 months or more of specimen processing experience, and basic computer knowledge and data entry skills. You'll work independently and within a team environment, with a high level of attention to detail and ability to prioritize and multitask.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 3 months or more of specimen processing experience
• 3 months or more of medical or laboratory experience
• Comfortability with handling biological specimens
• Ability to accurately identify specimens
• Basic computer knowledge and data entry skills
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment
• High level of attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and multitask
• Ability to work in a fast paced production environment and meet established turn-around times
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to handle the physical requirements of the position
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
