Laboratory Specimen Processor

Labcorp is seeking a Specimen Processor to join our team in RTP, NC. The position involves preparing laboratory specimens for analysis and testing, meeting department activity and production goals, and resolving and documenting problem specimens.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 3 months or more of specimen processing experience
• 3 months or more of medical or laboratory experience
• Ability to accurately identify specimens
• Basic computer knowledge and data entry skills
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment
• High level of attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and multitask
• Ability to work in a fast paced production environment and meet established turn-around times
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to handle the physical requirements of the position
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
• Flexibility to work overtime or other shifts depending on business needs
