Specimen Processor I

Role Overview

Join our team in Orlando, FL as a Specimen Processor I. Work a Monday – Friday 7:00pm – 3:30am, and rotating Saturdays schedule. Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing, and meet department activity and production goals.

What You Will Do

Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing, unpack and route specimens, accurately identify and label specimens, pack and ship specimens, and data entry of patient information.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent
• 1 year or more experience in lab, accessioning, production, manufacturing or warehouse environment
• 1 year or more of medical or production experience
• Comfortable handling biological specimens
• Ability to accurately identify specimens
• Experience working in a team environment
• Strong data entry and organizational skills
• High level of attention to detail
• Proficient in MS Office
• Able to lift up to 40lbs.
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
