Detentions Corporal

The Lake County Sheriff's Office is looking for a P.O.S.T certified Law Enforcement Officer with a strong desire to serve the community with professionalism and honesty.

Requirements

• Three (3) years detentions/corrections experience
• Two (2) years Field Training Officer or P.O.S.T. skills instructor
• Proven leadership skills, strong communication skills, commitment to mentoring and facilitating professional growth within the agency
• HS Diploma, GED
• Legally possess a firearm in the State of Colorado
• Ability to train in and employing Defensive Tactics and Arrest Control methods
• Ability to pass a written exam, oral board, physical ability exam and psychological evaluation
• Ability to work indoors in an office environment with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working at a computer
• Ability to work outdoors in inclement, hot, or cold weather as required
• Ability to lift to 40 pounds
