Launch Housing is a non-profit organization that aims to end homelessness in Melbourne. They provide various programs and services to support people in need, including the L2P Driving Mentor Volunteer role. This role involves providing driving guidance and mentorship to young people at the Education First Youth Foyer Broadmeadows.
Requirements
- Must be over 21 years of age
- Have an interest in working with young people who are striving to achieve independence.
- Hold a current full Victorian driver licence
- Have a satisfactory driver licence history
- Be medically fit to drive
- Have good communication skills and use a mentoring/coaching rather than instructional approach
- Able to undertake training in person and online (about 10 Hours in total)
- Exercise a duty of care for the learner driver with all reasonable care taken to ensure safety is maintained at all times
- Demonstrated commitment to the values of Launch Housing and our mission to end homelessness.
