Controls Engineer

Lear For You is a company that champions its teams and fosters collaboration, inclusion, respect, and excellence. The Controls Engineer role is responsible for developing and implementing program changes to reduce machine downtime and improve system efficiency.

Requirements

• Develops and implements software and hardware changes to improve efficiency and quality
• Troubleshooting and programming of PLC's to resolve problems, improve efficiency and quality
• Instruct and coordinate the activities of all personnel in the department to maintain top efficiency and productivity
• Contact and coordinate work with outside contractors, vendors, and suppliers
• Work with other departments to ensure optimal performance of production line
• Maintain accurate records of part specific parameters and changes
• Requisition tools, equipment and supplies
• Responsible for setting up and maintaining adequate parts and supplies to minimize production downtime
• Maintain accurate records of machines and other assets with regards to repair, drawings, diagrams and manuals and preventive maintenance program
• Assist in launch programs as necessary
• Responsible for housekeeping of area
• Participate in continuous improvement activities and self directed work team model
• Follow ISO14001 and TS16949 procedures/processes
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Interpret and enforce company policies and safety regulations
• Ensure plant security is maintained
