The Systems Administrator will provide technical planning, system hardware-software-network design, development and integration, verification and validation, and fielding for the Homeland Security Airports, Borders and Security Division at Leidos.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent work experience or specialized training) in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering or related discipline
- Minimum of three years hands-on experience with web-based server systems, Linux or other Unix operating systems, virtualization, and dealing with network connectivity and troubleshooting
- Experience with creating process, procedures, and documentation relating to data center management, disaster recovery, and off-site backup storage and retrieval
- Experience in large, enterprise-level systems deployments and data center operations environments
- Experience with NIST 800-53 security requirements, managing STIG settings, interacting with various vulnerability scanning tools, and complying with audit activities related to regulatory compliance
- Excellent written and oral communication skills necessary to effectively manage, motivate, and teach co-workers and staff
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently as a self-starter, and within a team environment
