Job Description
We are looking for a skilled Catastrophe Modeler who is eager to revolutionize home insurance with us. Joining our Insurance and Data Science teams, you will be critical in modernizing our pricing discipline across every facet of Lemonade—from distribution and underwriting to claims, compliance, and finance.
Requirements
- 8+ years of statistical modeling experience
- Advanced experience developing and implementing predictive models using both supervised and unsupervised machine learning approaches
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Proficiency in data science programming languages such as R or Python (preferred), and database query tools such as SQL
- Ability to work in a remote environment
- Prior experience in the insurance industry is a plus
