Senior Developer

LexLegis.ai is seeking a Senior Developer to oversee the development and implementation of software solutions, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure the efficiency and reliability of technical systems.

Requirements

• Architect and develop scalable backend systems using Python (3.x), Django, and Django Rest Framework (DRF).
• Own the design and performance of APIs, data models, and backend infrastructure across multiple services.
• Work closely with the AI engineering team to integrate LLM-powered features (document research, drafting, summarization, and contextual retrieval).
• Mentor junior developers, conduct code reviews, and enforce best practices for clean, maintainable code.
• Drive adoption of DevOps practices (containerization, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, automated testing).
• Collaborate with product management and frontend teams to define technical strategy and implementation plans.
• Lead performance optimization efforts — query optimization, caching, load balancing, and scaling APIs.
• Evaluate new technologies and frameworks to keep the stack modern and efficient.
• Participate in architectural discussions for AI feature integration, vector databases, and retrieval systems.
