The Behavior Therapist provides behavior intervention and treatment services to students at the ChildBridge Center of Education. They conduct assessments, develop behavior strategies, and supervise staff to ensure effective implementation of treatment plans.
Requirements
- Fully assesses the individuals on the assigned caseload annually
- Conducts functional behavioral assessments
- Recommends function-indicated and reinforcement-based interventions for challenging behaviors/skill acquisition
- Develops written behavior strategies based upon the individual needs
- Supervises the implementation of the behavior strategies in the school
- Collaborates with group home Behavior Therapists, Home Managers, and Case Managers
- Provides direct instruction, training, and support to students and staff
- Coaches and provides professional development to staff on skill-acquisition and behavior interventions and supports
- Monitors progress on at least a monthly basis
- Demonstrates ability to work effectively as part of a clinical team
- Effectively manages a caseload, including preparing and submitting all required documentation
- Provides behavior consultation minutes per their IEP
- Writes behavior intervention plans in collaboration with the IEP team
- Monitors the efficacy of behavior intervention plans through procedural fidelity
- Effectively communicates and collaborates with educational teams, school administrators, students, and parents
- Participates in program and classroom meetings as appropriate
- Maintains American Heart Association certification in First Aid and CPR
- Successfully completes Little City required training
