Job description
MAG is recruiting for a Network/Communications Engineer to design and implement resilient communication systems in challenging environments. The role requires a strong understanding of networking protocols, security, and RF communications. The engineer will work on a hybrid team, primarily remote, with occasional on-site work.
Design and implement tactical mesh networks, develop multi-path routing protocols, implement software-defined networking solutions, and configure communication channels. The engineer will also develop network monitoring and diagnostic tools, implement network security controls, and support cybersecurity compliance requirements.
The ideal candidate has 5+ years of network engineering experience, a strong understanding of TCP/IP, UDP, and multicast protocols, and experience with routing protocols, mesh networking technologies, and network security. The engineer should be able to optimize protocols for various speeds and understand RF propagation. The role offers a chance to work on meaningful problems, be part of a small elite team, and access cutting-edge hardware and technologies.
