Quality Engineer

We are seeking a Quality Engineer to join our team in Elkhart, IN. This is an urgent position that will hire immediately. The Quality Engineer will be responsible for product inspection and testing, as well as maintaining all customer quality system requirements. The ideal candidate will have five years of experience in a related field and a strong understanding of tolerances.

Requirements

• Ability to read, analyze and interpret blueprints and plans
• Five years experience in related field in a job shop machining or tool and die environment
• An acute understanding of tolerances – including block and geometric tolerancing
• Ability to operate and work with CMM’s, surface plates, gauges, and other misc. measuring equipment
• Ability to interpret inspection reports, determine variance, assemble customers reports, and investigate sources of error
• Ability to read, understand and relate ISO operating standards to company procedures and operations
• Ability to communicate with Production Manager, Shop Supervisors, and employees to determine sources of variance, and potential product impact
