Donation Attendant - Victorville Store

We are seeking a Donation Attendant to join our Retail Team at The Salvation Army Victorville Thrift Store. As a Donation Attendant, you will be responsible for maintaining and cleaning up the area in and around the Donation trailer/pod, assisting donors, and separating and sorting donated materials. This is an opportunity to promote a positive shopping/donor experience, enhance customer service, problem-solving and teamwork skills, while contributing to the success of our Program and its participants.

Requirements

• High School diploma/GED or equivalent
• Ability to read and write and to understand and follow both written and verbal instructions
• Ability to communicate effectively with management, fellow store employees, customers, and donors
• Pass a background check
• Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis
• Ability to grasp, push, pull objects such as files, file cabinet drawers, clothing carts, merchandise carts, rolling clothing racks, fixtures, furniture dollies, platform trucks and carts, hand trucks and miscellaneous carts
• Ability to move product up to 75lbs
• Ability to perform various repetitive motion tasks
