Senior Quant Developer

Man Group is seeking a Senior Quant Developer to work in the Front-office Engineering organization at Man Numeric. The role involves onboarding new datasets, implementing new trading signals, developing portfolio optimization tools, and performance tuning existing code. The team uses Python, Java, and various scientific libraries, and is looking for someone with strong academic and professional experience in software engineering, quantitative applications, and data analysis.

Requirements

• 5-7 years of professional experience in software engineering
• Expert knowledge of Python and Pandas
• Proficiency with related scientific libraries including NumPy, SciPy, statsmodels, and scikit-learn
• Experience developing mission-critical production systems
• Proficient on Linux platforms and strong understanding of Git
• Working knowledge of one or more relevant database technologies
• Demonstrated experience working with large data sets
• Experience in quantitative software development within a front-office setting
